Welcome to Caribbean Aviation Training Center (CATC) Flight Academy. Located on the Caribbean Island of Jamaica in the West Indies where we enjoy an all year round climate beautiful for flying.

Established in 2000 Caribbean Aviation Training Center became the second approved International Cessna Pilot Center (CPC) outside of the United States of America.

Operating from its home base at the Tinson Pen Aerodrome (MKTP) in Kingston, the Capital City of Jamaica and with a runway length of 4,000 feet, Tinson Pen Aerodrome is home to the largest fleet of General Aviation Aircraft from a Cessna 150 to the Cessna Citation fleet which can all be seen flying out of the aerodrome.

In 2006, Caribbean Aviation Training Center was awarded The Diamond Award for exceeding the Cessna Aircraft Company Operational Standards and Excellence in Flight Training out of the 300 Cessna Pilot Centers world wide.

Our Flight School continues to grow and excel in flight training. To date, we have trained in excess of eight (800) hundred pilots and will continue to excel as we prepare our pilots for the next generation of aircraft.

Affiliates

The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) is the governing regulatory body which is responsible under the Ministry of Transport to be in charge of all aviation related matters in Jamaica.

Caribbean Aviation Training Center, as an approved Cessna Pilot Center is also governed not only by the JCAA, but also by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This allows Caribbean Aviation Training Center the flexibility of operating both locally registered aircraft with the "6Y-J" registration and the USA "N" registration.

Caribbean Aviation Training Center is also an active member of the Aircraft Owners Pilot Association (AOPA) and the Cessna Pilot Association which allows us the ability to access an unlimited amount of information, knowledge and support from the aviation industry worldwide.
